Nigerian Canadian Association (NCA) Launches $3m Cultural Centre Project
The Nigerian Canadian Association (NCA) launched a three million dollar ($3,000,000) project for a Nigerian Cultural Centre in Toronto on May 15, 2004. This project is designed to promote the interests of Nigerians in Canada. The event was attended by dignitaries and community leaders in Toronto and from other parts of Canada.

The Citizenship and Immigration Canada Minister, Judy Sgro, was special guest at the fundraising party of The Nigerian Cultural Centre. The Minister also delivered a message of encouragement and goodwill from the Canadian Prime Minister, Paul Martin.

The Nigerian Cultural Centre will offer the following services:
Chief launcher, Chief Tola Adeniyi and guests at the launching

  • Nigerian Consulate in Toronto
  • Immigration and Resettlement Services
  • Banquet Hall and Convention Centre
  • Resource Centre
  • Day Care Centre
    Chairman of the occassion and also chief launcher of the Nigeria House was Chief Tola Adeniyi, the former Chairman of Daily Trust, Nigeria and currently the Chairman of Nigerian Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
